Within the Brushwood shops we are constantly striving to be at the cutting edge of home decor and fashion. We take pride in our unique assortment of product from all over the world as well as our many jewellery, clothing and accessory items made by Canadian artists.
Our customers are extremely important to us. We love to hear feedback so that we can shape our store around their needs. Our job is to find new and exciting product as well as one-of-a-kind pieces that are special and unique to our shops.

Company History
Brushwood was established in 1999 by Janet Hancock. Brushwood Etc. was the first of the three stores to open in Kincardine, ON. This first store consisted of an ecclectic mix of giftware, home decor, small furniture, jewellery and accessories.
Several years later, after sensing the need for more home decor stores in Kincardine, Janet expanded by opening another store called Brushwood At Home in Kincardine, ON, in May 2006. The focus of the new store was to be home decor, small furniture, kitchen and bath. Brushwood Etc., became more smaller giftware, accessories, jewellery, handbags, and baby items. Now, Brushwood Etc. has amalgammated with Brushwood At Home into their bigger store.
Janet's most recent project has been opening Brushwood Boutique in Waterloo, ON. Together with her daughter Nicole Hancock they came up with a vision for an elegant boutique housing a distinctively unique collection accessories for both the home and wardrobe. Brushwood Boutique is in Waterloo Town Square in the middle of Uptown Waterloo.
